I V L - Iowa Valley League

History

The Iowa Valley League was founded in 1935 when teams from: Amana, Atkins, Conroy, Keystone, Newhall, Norway, Walford, and Watkins came together and created the League. Since then, teams from ten different counties have been involved in playing Semi-Pro Baseball in the Iowa Valley.

President: Billy Metz

2017 Final Weekend Results

It was a wild finish to the 2017 Iowa Valley League: Norway’s Bandits claimed second place by beating the League Champion’s Fairfax twice, with their 2nd win coming in the bottom of the 11th on a wild pitch.  After winning their first game, Red Top scored 9 runs in the first inning of the second game, but would lose 11-10 to Williamsburg, and fall to third place.  Watkins and Walford split their games, with Walford coming back to beat Watkins 4-3 after trailing 3-0.  Watkins returned the favor in the second game coming back from a 2-0 deficit, to beat Walford 3-2.
