Iowa Valley League

IVL History

The Iowa Valley League was founded in 1935 when teams from: Amana, Atkins, Conroy, Keystone, Newhall, Norway, Walford, and Watkins came together and created the League. Since then, teams from ten different counties have been involved in playing Semi-Pro Baseball in the Iowa Valley.

Sunday, July 31st

League Action

Walford and Red Top would split at Walford, with Red Top taking game one in eight innings by the score of 5-4. Walford would come back to take game two by the score of 8-5. Norway would take two from Williamsburg. In game one, Mitch Walser’s would hit a two run homer in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game at: 2-2. Norway pushed a run across in the 7th to win 3-2. Jordan Hanlon threw a complete game for the win. In game two, Williamsburg would score two in the top of the 7th to cut Norway’s lead in half, but Danny Moloney would get the win, with the final score being 4-2 Watkins had the Sunday off.
Wednesday, July 27th, Nite League Game 1: Walford defeated Norway in five innings of play, winning 13 to 5, with Brady Grawe getting the win. Game 2: Williamsburg defeated Watkins, 12 to 1 in five innings of play, with Trey O’Neil getting the win.
